Persevering Through Hard Times ...
Dear friends, I pray to find you, blessed and refreshed on this beautiful day. Well, I don’t know what your season looks like today, but I think we can all agree that we’re no strangers to life trials.
There are seasons in life that test us in ways we never expected. Moments when the weight feels heavy, the road feels long, and the answers don’t come as quickly as we hoped. Yet, it is often in these very seasons that our faith is not only tested—but strengthened.
The Bible reminds us in- (Galatians 6:9) “And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”
Perseverance is not about pretending, it’s about trusting that God is still at work even when life feels uncertain. Hard times have a way of shaping us, refining us, and drawing us closer to the One who holds all things together.
In - (Romans 5:3–4) we are told- “We also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope.”
Notice the progression—what we go through is not wasted. God uses it to produce something deeper within us: endurance, strength, and ultimately, hope.
If you find yourself in a difficult season today, be encouraged—you are not alone, and this is not the end of your story. God is faithful, and He is working even when you cannot see it. Hold on. Keep going. What you’re walking through today may be preparing you for something greater tomorrow.
Prayer-
Heavenly Father, I pray for every person reading this today. In moments of struggle and uncertainty, remind them that You are near. Strengthen their hearts to persevere, even when the journey feels difficult. Fill them with peace, renew their hope, and give them the courage to keep moving forward. Let them see that what they are going through has purpose, and that You are working all things together for their good. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
With Love, your brother in Christ, Pastor Billy Montes.
