Contrasting the cloudy skies and cold weather, an array of pastel colors decorated the runners’ clothes as they trekked on their 3-mile journey. Every other marker on the run brought more colorful explosions as the runners were pelted with tints.
On March 28, 2026, Lamb Healthcare, LHC Auxiliary and LHC Family Medicine hosted a 5k Color Run. All proceeds raised from the event went to fund scholarships for three Lamb County seniors.
Sponsors involved in the event included First United Bank, United Supermarket, First Federal Bank, Prosperity Bank, Wellington State Bank, Asian Cuisine and Physical Therapy Today.
Fifty runners participated in the event. The event raised enough funds to provide three seniors with a $750 scholarship.
Out of the 50 runners, Saul Centeno and Pedro Ruiz finished the 5k with the fastest time of 25 minutes.
