A pedestrian-involved accident occurred on County Road 105, just south of County Road 118 on Saturday at 9:33 p.m. in Crosby County.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the 2010 Ford F-150 had stopped on County Road 105, and all occupants had exited the vehicle when a physical altercation occurred between occupants. The driver of Ford F-150, Luis Alejandro Poot-Sosa, 49, of Lorenzo, Texas, drove away from the scene, leaving the occupants roadside. Poot-Sosa returned to the area to retrieve the occupants.
As Poot- Sosa entered the area, he collided with two of the pedestrians, who became deceased on the scene. Poot-Sosa was subsequently assaulted by the family of the deceased and was transported to UMC for serious bodily injuries.
Yrma Linda Reyes-Chavez, 52, of Lorenzo, Texas was pronounced dead at the scene. Irene Ramirez-Reyes, 60, of Lubbock, Texas was pronounced dead at the scene. Sergio Torres, 49, of Levelland, Texas, was not injured.
