Very soon, Christians all over the world will celebrate the greatest event in the history of time. And I pray that you are part of it all. On Wednesday April 1st, our church will gather at Crescent Park at 6pm for a great time of fellowship while children hunt for easter eggs. We’ll have food trucks and just enjoy it all. On Good Friday, we’ll read scriptures and meditate on the sacrifice that took place for us. On Saturday we’ll reflect on the silence of it all. And on Sunday we’ll put on nice/fun clothes and gather with hundreds of others. In the name of Jesus, we’ll celebrate the greatest event in history through worship and the word of But the celebration doesn’t end there. We don’t take a break from it until next year. In fact, as Christians we should celebrate the resurrection daily. You see, Easter isn’t about eggs and wearing pastel colors. That’s all fine, but that isn’t what Easter is about. It’s about Jesus wanting a relationship with you. Jesus was born to die—and to rise again. And on the cross, Jesus took the wrath of God upon Himself. He bore all the sin of the world, including your sins and mine, by dying in our place. And He did because He loves us and wanted to create a way for us to God.
Easter is for everyone–the devastated, discouraged, disappointed, and doubting. And Eater is for all-time, it’s not just something we should celebrate one weekend a year. So, make plans for your family to be in a church somewhere. It’s worth celebrating for all eternity, which is exactly what we get to do in Glory because of Jesus.
Love You all!
