Lady Wolverines place 2nd at Tulia, Wolverines finish 5th

    The Springlake-Earth varsity golf teams played in their first tournament of the year at Tulia on Thursday, where the Lady Wolverines placed second overall and the Wolverines placed fifth, as the only 1A school competing.

    The Wolverines shot a 373 as a team. Ethan Mosqueda led the Wolverines with a score of 80 placing fourth overall. Bradley shot a 90, while Jacob Alvarez shot a 96 and Webb shot a 107.

    The Lady Wolverines shot a 426 as a team and were led by Hannah Alvarez, who shot an 89. Ennah Mosqueda shot a 99, while Braylee Herriage shot a 117 and Jocelyn Salas shot a 121. Jenna Stevenson’s score was unavailable at press time.

    The Golf teams competed Tuesday at Dimmitt. Results were not available at press time. They will continue their season next week with the Lady Wolverines competing Monday, March 2nd in Olton and the Wolverines competing March 4th in Olton.
