In Loving Memory Of
Oct. 8, 1934 ~ Nov. 6, 2025
Maria Guadalupe "Lupe" Trejo, a loving and beautiful soul whose life was defined by service to others, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025, in her home, surrounded by her beloved family. She was 91 years old.
Born on October 8, 1934, in Banquete, Texas, Lupe was the daughter of the late Pablo and Guadalupe Ruiz. In 1958, she moved to Littlefield, Texas, where she spent the remainder of her life building a legacy of love, care, and family devotion.
Lupe was the cherished wife of Ramiro Trejo, with whom she shared an extraordinary 71 years of marriage. Their lives together were a testament to enduring partnership and commitment.
A woman who was always available to talk and listen to anyone, Lupe spent the majority of her life taking care of others. She found joy in simple pleasures: Watching her novelas, sitting outside and sunbathing, planting vibrant flowers, and painting her nails with her great-granddaughters. She loved storytelling, going on scenic drives with her beloved husband, and shopping. Her faith was a constant comfort; she enjoyed listening to the radio and audio versions of the Bible and the Rosary. She was her family's most dedicated spectator, making every opportunity she could to watch her grandchildren play sports.
Lupe is survived by her devoted husband, Ramiro Trejo, and their two children: Honorato Trejo and his spouse, the late Mary Trejo of Lubbock, TX, and Nora Villanueva and her spouse, John Villanueva of Kyle, TX. Her loving spirit lives on through her seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pablo and Guadalupe Ruiz; and her nine siblings; along with countless other loving family members who welcomed her home.
The family wishes to extend special gratitude to Maria's amazing caretaker, Lucy Cantu, who was a shining light and provided extraordinary comfort in her final moments. They also want to thank the staff of Grayce Enhanced Hospice Care, especially Anna and Alan, for the compassionate and extraordinary care they provided.
