Lamb County Library announces upcoming activities

Hello October!

We hope September treated you well and that you’re ready for a month of activities at your library! Kicking off the first weekend of this month, we had the Flatland Music & Arts Festival taking place downtown. Running from Wed-nesday October 1st-4th there was a variety of entertainment, ven-dors and food trucks. We had a Family Fun Day at Lamb Co. Library on Saturday, Oct. 4 from 12-4 p.m. in participation with the Music Festival. There was popcorn, games and face painting done by Custom Creations from Lubbock.

Beginning the second week of October, we will host our Kids Crafts events on Thursdays from 6-8 p.m.

October 9 will be a Come & Go Craft Night where we will be making Watercolor Spiderwebs with our high school NHS friends. Stop by to make your craft and then take your artwork home to display proudly!

The following week, October 16 we will have a Make-A-Monster Come & Go craft, where kids will get a chance to roll the dice to decide what their monster will look like.

October 23 will be another Come & Go event where we will have two crafts available, Pumpkin People and Wonder Webs so stop by and be ready to craft!

Lastly, to celebrate the end of the month, we will be hosting a Spooky Fun Fest at the library!! There will be Halloween Charades and Pictionary, Pass-the-Pumpkin, Halloween Just Dance, and other games/snacks so please mark your calendars and join us for this fun filled evening! CHILDREN 12 & UNDER MUST BE SUPERVISED BY AN ADULT FOR THESE EVENTS.

Aside from these events, your library will have a booth set up at the Community Pumpkin Trail taking place at Crescent Park on October 25 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. so come say hi!

Don’t forget to mark your calendars for the County Tree Lighting and Nativity on December 1 and the Community Christmas Bash on December 12. We are still looking for vendors/food trucks, entertainment, floats/ vehicles for the parade and any volunteers who would like to participate in any of these upcoming events. Call the library for any additional information. As always, we appreciate our patrons and community and look forward to seeing you guys around! -Your Friendly Librarians
