Commissioners hold regular meeting

The Commissioners’ Court of Lamb County held their regular meeting at 9 a.m. on Monday, July 28, 2025, in the Lamb County Courthouse, where a 7- item agenda was discussed.

The meeting was called to order at 9:04 a.m. and there was nobody present for the public comment portion of the meeting.

Consent Agenda: a) Consider and take appropriate action on minutes from previous meeting(s); Lamb County Judge James DeLoach stated that there were three sets of minutes from the July 14th, July 17th and July 21st meetings and they all appeared to be in order. b) Consider and take appropriate action on budget and salary amendments and/or line-item transfers; none. c) Consider and take appropriate action on bills presented by the County Auditor; Lamb County Auditor, Gina Jones requested that the Commissioners approve bills totaling $238,392.27. d) Consider and take appropriate action on payroll; none e) Consider and take appropriate action on departmental reports; none. The motion to approve the consent agenda items as presented was made by Commissioner Lee Logan and seconded by Commissioner Danny Short. The motion carried.

The next item on the agenda was to consider and take appropriate action on donation to Lamb County Senior Citizens.

The motion to approve donation to the Lamb County Senior Citizens Center was made by Commissioner Short and seconded by Commissioner Cory DeBerry. The motion carried.

Future agenda items were discussed: County Open enrollment will be on Friday, August 8th at the Ag Building.

The next order of business was Budget work Session.

A general overview was give of the budgets.

With no further business to discuss, Commissioner Logan made a motion to adjourn and it was seconded by Commissioner Short. The motion carried and the meeting was adjourned at 11:08 a.m.
