Commissioners hold regular meeting Monday

The Commissioners Court of Lamb County met in regular session on Monday, July 21st, at the Lamb County Court House to discuss a seven-item agenda.

The meeting was called to order at 9:13 a.m. by Lamb County Judge James DeLoach. There was nobody present for the public comment portion of the meeting.

Consent Agenda: a) Approval of minutes from the previous meeting; There were no minutes presented. b) Budget and salary amendments and/or line item transfers; there were none. c) Bills presented by the County Auditor; Gina Jones requested that the Commissioners approve bills totaling $551,618.64. d) Payroll presented by the County Treasurer; Jerry Yarbrough requested that the commissioners approve payroll ending on July 11th in the amount of $169,004.65, and payroll ending on July 12th for LHC in the amount of $235,312.75. e) Departmental Reports; County Auditor Jones stated there were none. f) Donations; The Olton Library received a $100 donation from Wayne Carson Construction.

The motion to approve the Consent Agenda was made by Commissioner Cory DeBerry and seconded by Commissioner Danny Short. The motion carried.

The next order of business was to consider and take appropriate action on interlocal agreement for 911 services with SPAG.

The County pool party is on Monday, July 28th at 7 p.m.

The Littlefield Library will be having a Christmas meeting Tuesday, August 5th at the Ag Building. County open enrollment will be Friday, August 8th at the Ag Center. The Hospital will be having a Health fair on Saturday, August 16th from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Item six on the agenda was Budget Work Session.

Auditor Jones advised the Commissioners to look over budget workbooks.

With there being no further business to discuss Commissioner Short made a motion to adjourn and it was seconded by Commissioner Kent Lewis. The motion carried and the meeting was adjourned at 9:47 a.m.
