Joint Drug Trafficking Investigation Yields Four Arrests in Hale County

HALE COUNTY – Joint investigative efforts by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) and the Plainview Police Department (PPD) have led to the arrest of four men suspected of drug trafficking in Northwest Texas earlier this week.

On Wednesday, June 11, DPS and PPD executed a search warrant at a residence in Plainview. During a search of the residence, authorities discovered one pound of cocaine and more than $29,000 in cash.

The following four individuals were arrested and charged with felony manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance and booked into the Hale Co. Jail:

• Edward Munoz, 59, of Plainview

• Robert Scott, 63, of Plainview

• Michael Garza, 35, of Plainview

• Manuel Ontiveros-Rivas, 38, of Plainview As this investigation is ongoing, no further information is currently available.
