Factory representative, Tim Roump, came to the Littlefield Fire Department from the Rosenbauer factory, along with Mike Henricks, DACO Fire Equipment, Rosenbauer dealer representative from Lubbock, TX, on March 25, 2025, and gave our firefighters some hands-on training, operating the newest addition to the fleet.
The Quint has a 78-foot ladder with an elevated fire nozzle and rescue capabilities, a 1500 gallon per minute pump, a 300 gallon water tank and firefighting foam through three pre-connected 1-½ inch nozzles. It has five equipment compartments, three fire hose compartments, a rear compartment that holds six different- sized ground ladders and six pike poles for firefighting operations.
The custom cab will carry six firefighters, with five SCBA seats, and eleven spare SCBA bottle compartments.
The Fire Department is blessed to have this fire apparatus. Thanks to the hard work of Littlefield’s retired City Manager, Mitch Grant, Mayor Turpen and the City Council, along with business donors, Select Milk Producers, BASF/ Fibermax, and a considerable grant from the USDA, made it all possible.
