In Loving Memory Of Patricia Ruth Pierce

Patricia "Patsy" Ruth Pierce, affectionately known to all as Mima, left this world on Monday, March 24, 2025.
She was born on January 17, 1938 the daughter of Bill and Madge V. (Caskey) Tirey in Crosby, Texas. Patsy grew up on the family farm outside of Littlefield, Texas where she loved her cats and enjoyed picking cotton with her family. Patsy graduated high school in 1957 in Littlefield, Texas. During her senior year in high school she met the love of her life, Chesley "Ches" Dale Pierce. They were wed June 16, 1957 in Beulah, Texas on a Sunday afternoon.
Patsy worked for about a year as a secretary for a government office in Clovis, New Mexico. In 1962, BNSF relocated Patsy and Ches to Wellington, Kansas where they settled and raised their two children, David Pierce and Teresa Callaway.
Patsy had the most loving nature. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school at the Church of Christ in Wellington. She loved Jesus. Patsy had a special bond with her grandchildren. She lived to see 15 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Patsy left a lot of love in the world. She was the foundation that helped to create the family bonds that still hold strong. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her children, David Pierce and Teresa (Scott) Callaway; grandchildren: Elise (John) Wartick, Wade (Emily) Pierce, Tasha (Clint) Stone, Patricia (Bricke) Scott, and Hunter (Prudence) Callaway; great grandchildren: Victoria, Tayhlar, Teylin, Veronica, Joseph, Arallai, Allen, Kody, Violet, Wesley, Desmond, Paisley, Rhett, August, Piper; and great great grandchild, Emilia; along with numerous other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Madge Tirey; husband, Chesley "Ches" Pierce; brother, Donald Tirey; sisters, Bonnie Tirey and Jean Delgadillo; granddaughter, Tiffini Callaway; daughter in-law, Teresa Pierce; and great grandsons, Phoenix and Jackson.
Funeral services were held Friday morning, March 28, 2025 at the Church of Christ, 217 W. 13th Street, Wellington, Kansas 67152. Interment took place at the Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Wellington, Kansas immediately following.
