On Wednesday, February 19, 2025, the Littlefield Junior Honor Society inducted 11 new members. Selections were made based on outstanding scholarship, character, leadership, service, and citizenship. To be inducted, a student must have an average of 90 or above in their academic classes. Once selected, members have the responsibility to continue to demonstrate all of the qualities.
Chanel Salinas, a current member of the L.J.H.S., opened the program with the Pledge of Allegiance, and then Anissa Gonzalez, vice-president of the L.J.H.S., welcomed everyone. Littlefield Junior High Principal, Monica Acevedo, spoke to the L.J.H.S. members and their families.
L. J. H. S. president, Jacob Fuentes, explained that membership in this organization has been earned by the demonstration of the five qualities held in high esteem by the Society.
With a candle-lighting ceremony, the officers then gave the meaning of each quality and explained how the members are expected to use each in their lives. The officers include: president, Jacob Fuentes; vice-president, Anissa Gonzalez; secretary, London Taylor; treasurer, Adyleigh Rodriguez; and parliamentarian, Ellinie Dabrowski.
After Jacob led the inductees and the current members in the L.J.H.S. pledge, Monica Acevedo, junior high principal, presented each inductee with a certificate. The current members were then recognized.
Anissa closed the ceremony. The new members include: Sev-enth Grade: Dylan Adkins, Jayda Dewbre, Bella Enloe, Ian Mata, Mylah Sanders, Diego Silveira, Aubrie Torres, Kendall Vargas, Eli Wilson, Jaden Winters, and Kaden Winters The current members are: Kyzer Billingsley, Ellinie Dabrowski, Zalise Davis, Miley Dewbre, Jacob Fuentes, Anissa Gonzalez, Anali Jasso, Brenna Lowe, Melany Marquez, Nayeli Mata, Adyleigh Rodriguez, Chanel Salinas, and London Taylor.
