President- elect Trump an-nounced four nominees for senior USDA roles this week: Richard Fordyce, Dudley Hoskins, Luke Lindberg, and Michael Boren.
Fordyce has been nominated to serve as Under Secretary for Farm Production and Conservation. A fourth-generation farmer, Fordyce was formerly Missouri’s Director of Agriculture and served as Administrator of the Farm Service Agency during the first Trump administration.
Hoskins has been nominated to serve as Under Secretary for Marketing and Regulatory Programs. He is currently a counsel for the Senate Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry Committee and formerly served as USDA’s Chief of Staff for Marketing and Regulatory Programs during the first Trump administration.
Lindberg has been nominated to serve as Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs. Currently the President and CEO of South Dakota Trade, Lindberg formerly served as Chief of Staff and Chief Strategy Officer of the Export-Import Bank during the first Trump administration.
Boren has been nominated to serve as Under Secretary for Natural Resources and Environment. In addition to starting numerous businesses, Boren has served as a volunteer fireman in the Sawtooth Valley of Idaho and on the board of the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation.
President-elect Trump is expected to name additional USDA nominees in the coming days. Fordyce, Hoskins, Lindberg, and Boren will all need to be confirmed by the Senate before assuming their roles.
