The 2025 Littlefield Area Junior Livestock Show got underway Thursday with the Ag Mechanic projects being presented in the early afternoon, followed by the steer and heifer show later in the day.
21 heifers and eight Steers were exhibited on Thursday evening.
Kauy Carr of Sudan 4-H took home Grand Champion steer honors, while Paisli Claunch of Sudan 4-H took home Reserve Grand Champion steer honors.
Ryan Muller of Littlefield 4-H earned Grand Champion heifer, while Maggie McNeese of Littlefield FFA won Reserve Grand Champion heifer.
The Junior Beef Showmanship Award went to Paisli Claunch of Sudan 4-H, while the Senior Beef Showmanship Award went to Piper Carr of Littlefield 4-H.
The heifers and steers were judged by Matt Popelka.
In the Ag Mechanic division, Hayden Harden and his Welding Skid took home Grand Champion honors, while Teagan Miller of Littlefield FFA and her Aluminum Pig Popper earned Reserve Grand Champion honors.
Manuel Garcia and his water hose reel got third place.
In the group project category, Erik Trejo and Thomas Jasso took first place with their Gray Wildcat Bench, while Omar Trejo and Vince Villanueva got second with their bench. Brayan Sanchez and Gabriel Mata got third place with their wood-burning griddle, while Jayden Kirkland and Tate Clark got fourth place with their bench and Uriel Ibarra and Jeremiah Rios got fifth with their wood-burning firepit.
The Ag Mechanic projects were judged by Dalton Howard.
