Angela Yvonne "Angie" Sawyer, 89 of Littlefield, Texas passed away Thursday, December 5, 2024, in Amherst, Texas. She was born on September 1, 1935, in Littlefield, Texas to Jeff and Inez Cook. She married LeRoy Sawyer on June 4, 1955, in Sudan, Texas.

Angela was a talented master seamstress. She crafted many beautiful garments such as wedding and prom gowns. She also made specialty garments for the physically impaired. She was honored with the Girl Scouts' Women of Distinction award. She was active as a coach in Little Dribblers' Basketball, and she enjoyed driving and transporting cars. She was feisty, passionate, kind and charitable. She was also a cancer survivor of 32 years. She loved her family and was a wonderful "Maw maw" and "Grandma".

Angela is survived by her son, Eric Sawyer and wife, Angela of Littlefield, Texas; two daughters, Michele Muller and husband, Jack of Mansfield, Texas, and Melissa Sawyer of Littlefield, Texas; a sister, Gini Coffman of Littlefield, Texas; six grandchildren, Jocelyn Cline and husband, Brad of Edmond, Oklahoma, Claire Muller and fiancé, Varun Haralalka of Seattle, Washington, China Smith and husband, Rann Enloe, of Littlefield, Texas, Ian Sawyer of Amarillo, Texas, Paige Sawyer of Canyon, Texas, and Chloe Sawyer of Canyon, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Sawyer; two brothers, Claude and James Cook; four sisters, Viola Gosdin, Maxine Tunnell, Mary Jo McCurry, and Peggy Bales; and a granddaughter, Haley Smith Harper.

Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Hillcrest Funeral Home's Grace Chapel. Arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield, Texas.
