In the Causes State of Texas vs. Joseph John Moron, the presiding judge convened the jury at 10:00am, on Monday, October 7, 2024 in the Lamb County District Court.
The judge addressed the officers of the court and the jury.
The judge stated the defense had requested a mistrial due to the fact that the judge had been diagnosed positive for Covid-19.
The judge expressed his concern was the possible exposure to the court. He also stated that he found no indication of misconduct on the part of the Prosecution in the case. Therefore, he granted the request for the mistrial.
The jury was then dismissed and directed to report for their compensation.
The proceeding was then adjourned.
