A meeting of the Lamb County Commissioners’ Court will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, August 26, 2024, in the Lamb County Courthouse, where a 16—item agenda will be considered for appropriate action.
After the Call to order, the public may request to make a public comment on any of the agenda items. (3 minutes max) The items listed as “Consent Agenda Items” require no deliberation by the Court. Each Court member has the prerogative of removing an item from that agenda, so that it may be considered separately.
The five Consent Agenda items to be considered are: a) Consider and take appropriate action on minutes from previous meeting(s). b) Consider and take appropriate action on budget and salary amendments and/or line-item transfers; c) Consider and take appropriate action on bills presented by the County Auditor; d) Consider and take appropriate action on payroll; e) Consider and take appropriate action on departmental reports.

Public Hearing on the Creation of a Reinvestment Zone to be known as Lamb County Reinvestment Zone-Cage Ranch for purposes of tax abatement to provide economic development with the county, as described and depicted below: 5. Consider and take appropriate action to create a reinvestment zone for purposes of tax abatement to provide economic development within the county in accordance with Chapter 312 of the Texas Tax Code, said reinvestment zone to be known as Lamb County Reinvestment Zone-Cage Ranch and located as described and depicted in the application by Tax Abatement Agreement, and in the public notices publishes in accordance with Chapter 312 of the Texas Tax Code.; 6. Consider and take appropriate action regarding a Road Use Agreement between Lamb County and Cage Ranch Solar, LLC to address possible degradation of any county-maintained roads in the construction, operation or maintenance of the Lamb County Reinvestment Zone-Cage Ranch; 7. Consider and take appropriate action regarding the adoption of a Tax Abatement Agreement with Cage Ranch Solar, LLC pursuant to Chapter 312, Texas Tax Code; 8. Budget Work Session; 9.
