Amherst is gearing up for their annual celebration on Saturday, July 27, 2024. The city has released the schedule for the celebration.
The Parade down Main Street will begin at 10 a.m.
The Park Celebration will begin at 11 a.m. and will last until 11 p.m. There will be food and drink vendors, game vendors, and merchandise vendors for the duration.
Day Entertainment begins at 11 a.m. and will run until 5 p.m.
The Volleyball Tournament will start at 10:30 a.m., the Pickleball Tourney will be at 12 p.m. and the Cornhole Tourney will begin at 6 p.m. The always competitive Children’s Tractor Pull will be held again this year.
There will be live music, door prizes and a drawing for a John Deere Zero-Turn Lawn Mower.
The Dance will begin at 7:30 p.m. until 11 p.m.
The Grand Prize Raffle of a Zero Turn John Deere Lawn Mower will close the celebration at 11 p.m. with the announcement of the winner. The winner need not be present to win. Tickets are available at Amherst City Hall, Miller Automotive, and or from any Amherst Chamber Board member.
