Grand Jury returns 31 indictments

The Lamb County Grand Jury for the January Term A.D. 2024 of the Lamb County 154th Judicial District Court met on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, when a total of 31 indictments were returned, seven of which have not been arrested at this time.

Juan Rangel Robles, 59, of Littlefield, was indicted on a charge of Evading Arrest Det W/ Veh 38.04(b)(2)(A) PENAL CODE F3, that occurred on or about the 2nd day of May, 2024.

And it is further presented that, prior to the commission of the charged offense, on the 10th day of December, 1993, in cause number 2794 in the 154th District Court of Lamb County, Texas, the defendant was finally convicted of the felony offense of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child; His bond is set at $3,500. Isidoro Montoya Salinas, 67, of Littlefield, was indicted on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More IAT 49.09(b) PENAL CODE F3, that occurred on or about the 25th day of February, 2024.

JURISDICTIONAL ENHANCEMENTS

1. And it is further presented that, prior to the commission of the charged offense (hereafter styled the primary offense), on the 13th day of March, 1998, in cause number 96-451,517 in the County Court at Law #1 of Lubbock County, Texas, the defendant was convicted of an offense relating to the operating of a motor vehicle while intoxicated; 2. And on the 8th day of August, 2005, in cause number 14694 in the County Court of Lamb County, Texas, the defendant was convicted of an offense relating to the operating of a motor vehicle while intoxicated;

PUNISHMENT ENHANCEMENTS

3. And it is further presented that, prior to the commission of the charged offense (hereafter styled the primary offense), on the 26th day of July, 2005, in cause number 2002-400,815 in the 137th District Court of Lubbock County, Texas, the defendant was finally convicted of the felony offense of Failure to stop and Render Aid – Injury; 4. And it is further presented that, prior to the commission of the primary offense, and after the conviction in cause number 2002400,815 was final, the defendant committed the felony offenses of Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More, and was finally convicted on the 15th day of April, 2013, in cause numbers DCR-4934-12 and DCR-4982-13 in the 154th District Court of Lamb County, Texas; His bond is set at $15,000. Abraham Alexander Mireles, 21, of Littlefield, was indicted on a charge of Burglary of a Habitation 30.02(c)(2) PENAL CODE F2, that occurred on or about the 18th day of March, 2024.

His bond is set at $15,000. Abraham Alexander Mireles, 21, of Littlefield, was indicted on a charge of Poss CS PG 1/1-B >=1G<4G 481.115(c) HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE F3, that occurred on or about the 18th day of March, 2024.

His bond is set at $3,500. Luis Valdez- Ortega, 47, of Sudan, was indicted on a charge of Continuous Violence against the Family 25.11(e) PENAL CODE F3, that occurred on or about the 24th day of March, 2024.

His Bond is set at $3,500. Luis Valdez- Ortega, 47, of Sudan, was indicted on a charge of Unauthorized Use of Vehicle 31.07 PENAL CODE FS, that occurred on or about the 19th day of March, 2024.

His Bond is set at $7,000. Kelly Lynn Dendy, 26, of Littlefield, was indicted on a charge of Poss CS PG 1/1-B<1G 481.115( b) HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE FS, that occurred on or about the 12th day of May, 2024.

Her Bond is set at $5,000. Kelly Lynn Dendy, 26, of Littlefield, was indicted on a charge of Tamper/Fabricate Phys Evid W/Intent to Impair 37.09(c) PENAL CODE F3, that occurred on or about the 12th day of May, 2024.

And it is further presented in and to said Court that on the date and in the location above-described, the Defendant did then and there, knowing that an offense had been committed, namely Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, intentionally and knowingly conceal items of evidence, namely a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, with intent to impair their availability as evidence in any subsequent investigation or official proceeding related to the offense; Her Bond is set at $5,000. McCoy Donnie Robison, 31, of Littlefield, was indicted on a charge of Poss CS PG 1/ 1B>=4G<200G 481.115(d) HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE F2, that occurred on or about the 4th day of March, 2024.

His Bond is set at $10,000. Idolina Rendon Munoz, 64, of Lubbock, was indicted on a charge of Assault Peace Officer/Judge 22.01(b-2) PENAL CODE F2, that occurred on or about the 24th day of May, 2024.

And it is further presented that, prior to the commission of the charged offense, on the 5th day of October, 2010, in cause number 2:09-cr-01147-AM in the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas – Del Rio Division, the defendant was finally convicted of the felony offense of Conspiracy to Illegally Transport Aliens; Her bond is set at $10,000. His Bond is set at $7,500 and he is to have no contact with any of his family members.

Benjamin Bean, 23, of Littlefield, was indicted on a charge of Assault Fam/House Mem Impede Breath/Circulat 22.01(b)(2)(B) PENAL CODE F3, that occurred on or about the 7th day of March, 2024.

His Bond is set at $7,500 and he is to have no contact with the victim.

Mario H Salinas, 58, of Littlefield, was indicted on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More IAT 49.09(b) PENAL CODE F3, that occurred on or about the 22nd day of February, 2024.

JURISDICTIONAL ENHANCEMENTS

1. And it is further presented that, prior to the commission of the charged offense (hereafter styled the primary offense), on the 24th day of March, 1993, in cause number CR-93-0339-A in the County Court at Law #1 of Denton County, Texas, the defendant was convicted of an offense relating to the operating of a motor vehicle while intoxicated; 2. And on the 1st day of August, 1997, in cause number 0663046 in the County Criminal Court No. 6 of Tarrant County, Texas, the defendant was convicted of an offense relating to the operating of a motor vehicle while intoxicated; His bond is set at $3,500. San Juan Fuentes, 39, of Littlefield, was indicted on a charge of Assault Family/Household member Prev Conv IAT 22.01(b)(2)(A) PENAL CODE F3, that occurred on or about the 23rd day of April, 2024.

JURISDICTIONAL ENHANCEMENTS

1. And before the commission of the charged offense, the defendant had previously been convicted of an offense under Chapter 22 of the Texas Penal Code, against a member of the defendant’s family and household, and person with whom the defendant has or has had a dating relationship, as described by Sections 71.003, 71.005, and 71.0021(b) of the Texas Family Code, namely on the 1st day of August, 2002, in the County Court of Deaf Smith County, Texas, in cause number 020399; His bond is set at $7,500 and he is to have no contact with the victim.

San Juan Fuentes, 39, of Littlefield, was indicted on a charge of Inj Child/Elderly/Disabled W/Int Bodily Inj 22.04(f) PENAL CODE F3, that occurred on or about the 23rd day of April, 2024.

His bond is set at $5,000 and he is to have no contact with the victim or any member of his family.

Ricardo Jose Hernandez, 42, of Lubbock, was indicted on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More IAT 49.09(b) PENAL CODE F3, that occurred on or about the 5th day of March, 2024.

JURISDICTIONAL ENHANCEMENTS

1. And it is further presented that, prior to the commission of the charged offense (hereafter styled the primary offense), on the 9th day of March, 2011, in cause number 27939 in the County Court of Terry County, Texas, the defendant was convicted of an offense relating to the operating of a motor vehicle while intoxicated; 2. And it is further presented that prior to the commission of the charged offense (hereafter styled the primary offense), on the 29th day of November, 2011, in cause number 2011- 465,515 in the County Court of Law No.1 of Lubbock County, Texas, the defendant was convicted of an offense relating to the operating of a motor vehicle while intoxicated; His bond is set at $15,000. Jose Manuel Tovar Jr., 45, of Sudan, was indicted on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More IAT 49.09(b) PENAL CODE F3, that occurred on or about the 30th day of March, 2024.

JURISDICTIONAL ENHANCEMENTS

1. And it is further presented that, prior to the commission of the charged offense (hereafter styled the primary offense), on the 5th day of April, 2000, in cause number 31960 in the County Court of Hockley County, Texas, the defendant was convicted of an offense relating to the operating of a motor vehicle while intoxicated; 2. And on the 7th day of October, 2013, in cause number 43789 in the County Court of Hockley County, Texas, the defendant was convicted of an offense relating to the operating of a motor vehicle while intoxicated; 3. And on the 8th day of December, 2016, in cause number DCR5529-16 in the 154th District Court of Lamb County, Texas, the defendant was convicted of an offense relating to the operation of a motor vehicle while intoxicated; His bond is set at $10,000.

Michael Davin Saldana, 20, of Littlefield, was indicted on a charge of Assault Peace Officer/ Judge 22.01(b-2) PENAL CODE F2, that occurred on or about the 23rd day of March, 2024.

His bond is set at $15,000. Octavio Paul Lopez, 44, of Littlefield, was indicted on a charge of Agg Assault W/Deadly Weapon 22.02(a)(2) PENAL CODE F2, that occurred on or about the 17th day of April, 2024.

And it is further presented in and to said Court that on or about April 17, 2024, in Lamb County, Texas, the Defendant did then and there, intentionally, knowingly, and recklessly cause bodily injury to Marie Phergson by striking the said Marie Phergson with the Defendant’s hand, by striking the said Marie Phergson with a hard object, by pushing the said Marie Phergson with the Defendant’s hand, by applying pressure to the said Marie Phergson’s throat and neck with the Defendant’s hand, and by causing the said Marie Phergson to strike a hard object, and the defendant did then and there use or exhibit a deadly weapon, namely a firearm and a baseball bat, during the commission of the assault; His bond is set for $10,000 and he is to have no contact with the victim.

Octavio Paul Lopez, 44, of Littlefield, was indicted on a charge of Man/Del CS PG 1 >=4G<200G 481.112(d) HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE F1, that occurred on or about the 18th day of April, 2024.

His bond is set $25,000. Laura Nancy Cruz, 41, of Littlefield, was indicted on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More IAT 49.09(b) PENAL CODE F3, that occurred on or about the 14th day of April, 2024.

JURISDICTIONAL ENHANCEMENTS

1. And it is further presented that, prior to the commission of the charged offense (hereafter styled the primary offense), on the 8th day of June, 2005, in cause number 14788 in the County Court of Lamb County, Texas, the defendant was convicted of an offense relating to the operating of a motor vehicle while intoxicated; 2. And on the 24th day of October, 2012, in cause number CCR16500-12 in the County Court of Lamb County, Texas, the defendant was convicted of an offense relating to the operating of a motor vehicle while intoxicated; His bond is set at $10,000.
