Dear friends, I pray to find you all in good health and in joyous Spirit.
Today I want to talk about life TRANSITIONS and CHANGE. Transition and change come in many different shapes and forms in our lives. They can either be a joyous time or they can be a dreadful and scary time, depending on the circumstances. But one thing is for sure, We live in an always changing world.
TRANSITION is a major part of life. In fact, I don’t know if you know this or not, but God’s design for life is that we would constantly experience transition and change. We know this because Ecclesiastes 3:1 says- To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven.
There are so many different types of translations we face in life. Transition means change—it signifies that there is something to leave behind and something to look forward to. But as human beings, we struggle with CHANGE or TRANSITION. This is because by nature we want to understand already, and in frustration we want to figure out why or what purpose there is in it… And it’s in these times When we don’t see the future clearly that- our faith is both being challenged and our trust in God is being tested.
But CHANGE or TRANSITION doesn’t have to be a painful or frustrating time.. In fact, there is a great purpose for these changing times. It’s in these moments of life where we seem to struggle to understand how it will all play out that we have God given opportunities and purpose
• we have opportunity for growth
•opportunity for drawing closer to God
•And the opportunity for joy as you see God do a new thing in your life!
Brothers and sisters, God is with you and He is for you. He knows the future and has already mapped out and lined up what needs to take place in order for you to reach your destination. We need only to trust in Him and in His Consistency!
I don’t know what kind of season of transition or change you are facing in your life today, but I want to remind you that we serve The never changing God in an always changing world!
Why is this so important to understand? Why is it so important to understand this? That we serve a God that Never changes in spite of this life of ours that is always subject to transition and change?
• It’s important to understand this because if you don’t have a rich relationship with God, and your focus and trust isn’t on Him, then this life of yours is gonna be a complete roller coaster of UNSTABLE living… You will be like the unstable man tossed around by every wave of circumstance that he faces in life, because He does not TRUST the UNCHANGING God!
James 1:2-8- Compares a person who doubts to the waves of the sea that is tossed by the wind. “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a doubleminded man, unstable in all his ways.”
Double-minded people are restless, confused in their thoughts, actions, and behavior, and they are always in conflict with themselves. They may have some desire to follow God, but lack the faith and trust to do so.
Friends, God’s desire for His children is not for us to be tossed around by the Sea of life! Instead, God’s desire is that we be rooted in Him and to live by faith and trust in Him alone. Only by trusting in our never Changing God, can we walk in this always changing world with confidence, with peace, and with joy regardless of what we go through in life. Amen!
