South Plains College introduces 2024 Homecoming King, Queen

South Plains College announced Edgar Delgado of Sudan and Kallie Ketchersid of Ropesville as the 2024 Homecoming King and Queen, respectively, during halftime at the Texans/ Western Texas College basketball game on Feb. 15 in the Texan Dome.

Delgado, a business administration major, represented Juntos Somos Mas, and Ketchersid, a human development and family studies major, represented Baptist Student Ministry.

The nominees for Homecoming King were Quincy Graham, a commercial music major from Slaton representing STAR Center Student Organization; Luke Gibson, a criminal justice major from Lubbock representing the Criminal Justice Club; Jaylon James, a culinary arts major from Snyder representing Texan Hype; and Jason Perez, a criminal justice major from Lubbock representing the Criminal Justice Club.

The nominees for Homecoming Queen were Desiree Gonzalez, a nursing major from Lubbock representing Texan Hype; Marisela Jimenez, a criminal justice major from Lubbock representing the Criminal Justice Club; Ariathna Lopez, a teaching major from Dimmit representing Juntos Somos Mas; Madison Salazar, an art major from Lamesa representing STAR Center Student Organization; Aryana Torres, a criminal justice major from Lubbock representing the Criminal Justice Club; Clara Vara, a criminal justice major from Farwell representing Student Government; and Brianna Villanueva, an early childhood education major from Stamford representing Texan Hype.
