On Tuesday, January 2nd at 11:39 a.m. a two vehicle collision in Hockley County results in one person dead and two injured.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the 2022 Kia Soul was traveling north on Farm to Market Road 168, south of State Highway 114. A 2011 Dodge Ram was traveling east on SH-114, west of FM168. The Kia Soul failed to yield the right of way at the stop sign at SH-114 and FM-168.
The Kia Soul and Dodge Rame collided in the intersection. The driver of Dodge Ram, Santiago Samarron, 68, of Levelland was treated and released on the scene.
The front right passenger of the Dodge Ram, Adriana Samarron, 64, of Levelland, was transported to Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock with serious injuries.
The driver of the Kia Soul, Rachael Leigh Nuskind (Ethridge), 32, of Smyer was pronounced deceased on the scene due to injuries sustained during the crash.
