AUSTIN – TDLR Executive Director Mike Arismendez has resigned from the agency.
Arismendez had been with TDLR since 2019, when he was named Deputy Executive Director. He became Executive Director in 2022. Before joining the TDLR staff, Arismendez was a member of the Texas Commission of Licensing and Regulation from 2005 until 2019 and was chair of the commission from 2014 until 2019.
Christina Kaiser, TDLR Senior Deputy Executive Director, is temporarily designated as Acting Executive Director of the agency. Kaiser has been with the agency since 2000, serving as Director of Enforcement from 2002 to 2019, when she was promoted to Deputy Executive Director. In 2022, Arismendez promoted her to Senior Deputy Executive Director.
