Grand Jury Returns 12 Indictments

The Lamb County Grand Jury for the July Term A.D. 2023 of the Lamb County 154th Iudicial District Court met on Wednesday Sept., 27, 2023, when they returned 12 indictments.

Matthew Padilla, 38, of Littlefield, was indicted on a charge of Burglary of a Building 30.02(c)(1) PENAL CODE FS, that occurred on or about the 31st day of August, 2023.

His bond is set at $7,000. Hannah Nichole Kersey, 20, of Littlefield, was indicted on a charge of Unauth Use of a Vehicle 31.07 PENAL CODE FS, that occurred on or about the 25th day of July, 2023.

Her bond is set at $3,500. Raymond Pete Contreras, 33, of Littlefield, was indicted on a charge of Evading Arrest Det W/ Prev Conviction 38.04(b)(1) PENAL CODE FS, that occurred on or about the 9th day of September, 2023.

And it is further presented that, prior to the commission of the charged offense, on the 10th day of August, 2012, in cause number 16440 in the County Court of Lamb County, Texas, the defendant was convicted under Section 38.04 of the Texas Penal Code, of the offense of Evading Arrest/Detention.

His bond is set at $10,000.

Daveon Low Espinoza, 25, of Littlefield, was indicted on a charge of Poss CS PG 1/1-B<1G 481.115( b) HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE FS, that occurred on or about the 6th day of July, 2023.

His bond is set at $10,000.

Jonathan Joe Ramirez, 21, of Olton, was indicted on a charge of Evading Arrest Det W/Previous Conviction 38.04(b)(1) PENAL CODE FS, that occurred on or about the 7th day of August, 2023.

And it is further presented that, prior to the commission of the charged offense, on the 13th day of April, 2021, in cause number CCR-17804 in the County Court of Lamb County, Texas, the defendant was convicted under Section 38.04 of the Texas Penal Code, of the offense of Evading Arrest/Detention.

His bond is set at $7,500.

Jonathan Joe Ramirez, 21, of Olton, was indicted on a charge of Escape while Arrested/Confined Felony 38.06(c) PENAL CODE F3, that occurred on or about the 7th day of August, 2023.

His bond is set at $10,000. Gary Winson Geeslin, 60, of Burleson, Texas, was indicted on a charge of Poss CS PG 1/1-B<1G 481.115( b) HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE FS, that occurred on or about the 16th day of June, 2023.

State Jail Punishment Enhancements

And it is further presented that prior to the commission of the charged offense (hereafter styled the primary offense), on the 16th day of April, 2021, in cause number 16-59855001 in the Criminal District Court No. 3 of Tarrant County, Texas, the defendant was finally convicted of the offense of the State Jail Felony of Burglary of a building; And it is further presented that, prior to the commission of the primary offense, o the 4th day of January, 2023, in cause number 1738447002 in the 485th District Court of Tarrant County, Texas, the defendant was finally convicted of the state jail felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1<1G;

And it is further presented that, prior to the commission of the charged offense, on the 30th day of October, 1998, in cause number 06-57040A in the 372nd District Court of Tarrant County, Texas, the defendant was finally convicted of the felony offense of Injury to a Disabled Person Causing SBI.

His bond is set at $5,000. Rosendo Alzaraz JR, 43, of Sudan, was indicted on a charge of Assault Fam/House mem Impede breath/circulat 22.01(b)(2)(B) PENAL CODE F3, that occurred on or about the 17th day of September, 2023. His bond is set at $5,000.

Paul Lorenzo Apodaca, 49, of Clovis, N.M., was indicted on a charge of UNL Carry Weapon W/ Felony Conv 46.02(e)(1) Penal CODE F2, that occurred on or about the 6th day of July, 2023.

And it is further presented that, prior to the commission of the charged offense (hereafter styled the primary offense), on the 11th day of April, 2000, in cause number D-905-CR-93011476 in the Clovis District Court of Curry County, New Mexico, the defendant was finally convicted of the felony offense of Trafficking a Controlled Substance (Cocaine); And it is further presented that, prior to the commission of the primary offense, and after the conviction in cause number D-905CR-93011476 was final, the defendant committed the felony offense of Robbery and was finally convicted on the 18th day of September, 2003, in cause number 2003402.172 in the 140th District Court of Lubbock County, Texas.

His bond is set at $25,000. Michael Robert Flores-Kershaw, 20, of Littlefield, was indicted on a charge of Assault Fam/House Mem Impede Breath/Circulat 22.01(b)(2)(B) PENAL CODE F3, that occurred on or about the 16th day of July, 2023.

His bond is set at $5,000. Jose Francisco Ramirez JR, 44, of Littlefield, was indicted on a charge of Evading Arrest Det W/ Veh 38.04(b)(2)(A) Penal CODE F3, that occurred on or about the 16th day of August, 2023.

And it is further presented that, prior to the commission of the charged offense, on the 16th day of August, 2015, in cause number DCR-4975-12 in the 154th District Court of Lamb County, Texas, the defendant was finally convicted of the felony offense of Driving While Intoxicated 3rd of More.

His bond is set at $10,000. Alexis Dezrae Isis Rios, 17, of Littlefield, was indicted on a charge of Agg Assault W/Deadly Weapon 22.02(a)(2) PENAL CODE F2, that occurred on or about the 16th day of July, 2023.

His bond is set at $3,000.
