Faith in the Real World

I have often found my faith swinging between that of a deeply rooted child of God to a more feral type, blowing in the wind like an inflatable man, dancing outside of a car resale lot. Sadly, if I were to be completely honest, my every-day “faithometer” resembles that inflatable man most often.

2026 Olton Junior Livestock Show Results

The 2026 Olton Livestock Show was held last week, Jan. 15th through the 17th with the sale taking place on Saturday.There were eight steers, 14 heifers, 66 barrows, 23 lambs and five goats exhibited this year.

Momentum Continues for Texas Labor Force and Job Count

AUSTIN - Texas added 19,700 nonfarm jobs in December to reach a total of 14,341,000 positions. Over the year, the state added 132,500 jobs for an annual nonfarm growth rate of 0.9 percent, outpacing the national growth rate by half a percentage point.
