March 2026 Primary Results: Winners, Runoffs

This past Tuesday, Texas voters cast their ballots in the primary election for county, state and congressional seats. Early voting numbers showed a historic turnout compared to previous years, ultimately resulting in approximately 4.

Community prayer meeting set for 7 p.m. Wednesday

The next community prayer meeting is scheduled for 7 p. m. Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at Peace Deliverance Church, 801 LFD in Littlefield.Pastor John McCarty will host the meeting.

PCG to hold annual meeting

Plains Cotton Growers 69th Annual Meeting will be held on April 7 at the Overton Hotel Conference Center in Lubbock. The event is free.

RECYCLE YOUR DENIM

Since 2006, Cotton Incorporated’s Blue Jeans Go Green program has collected denim (made from cotton) so it can be recycled back to its original fiber state and transformed into something new.

USDA Launches ‘One Farmer, One File’ Initiative to Better Support Farmers

– At the Commodity Classic Convention in San Antonio, Texas, U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke L. Rollins announced the “One Farmer, One File” modernization, another action putting Farmers First with sweeping technological improvements at the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

U.S., Mexico negotiates water agreement

The U.S. Department of Agriculture and Department of state announced a new commitment between the U.S. and Mexico that should strengthen implementation of the 1944 Water Treaty.
