Things are ‘Hoppin’ at the County Library

The Lamb County Library has released their April newsletter. This month is full of new and exciting events! Hop over to the library to get into the spring of things! The Library will be closed on Saturday, April 22.. New to the schedule, CrafTea on Wednesdays, 3 to 5 p.m.

National Ranching Heritage Center will host 54th Annual Ranch Day April 22

Family members of all ages can enjoy a day at the ranch during the 54th Annual Ranch Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 22 at the National Ranching Heritage Center (NRHC) on the Texas Tech University campus. Made possible by the Helen Jones Foundation, Inc.

Cannon AFB to host first airshow since 2018

CANNON AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. – Cannon AFB will host its first airshow since 2018. The airshow, Wings Over Cannon, is scheduled for April 22, 2023. Gates will open at 9:00 a.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Deadly explosion, fire rocks dairy

A deadly explosion and fire at South Fork Dairy Farm in Castro County rendered one person hospitalized in critical condition on Monday and killed thousands of dairy cattle. The Castro County Sheriff’s Office 911 Dispatch received multiple calls Monday evening around 7:21 p.m.

Nominations for Adminstrative Assistant are due by April 19th

Plans are well underway for the 2023 Administrative Professionals Day Luncheon, which is being co- sponsored by the Littlefield Rotary Club. The fun-time event will be served Wednesday, April 26, 2023, starting at 11:30 a.m., in the MAC Center of First Baptist Church, 400 East 6th Street.

Littlefield School Board holds special meeting Thursday

The Littlefield Independent School District’s Board of Trustees met in special session on Thursday, April 13th in the Board Room of the Jerry Blakely Administration Building. The Invocation was given by Will Williams and the meeting was called to order by Board President Lance Broadhurst.
