Littlefield seniors earn scholarships

Littlefield High School held their Scholarship Ceremony on Tuesday evening inside of Wildcat Gymnasium with the following students earning scholarships. The Jerry Blakely Memorial Scholarship went to Madison McNeese. The LaDonna Ogle Memorial Scholarship went to Franciana Kersey.

Littlefield’s Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture will be hosting its 2023 Awards Banquet, starting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday evening, May 30, 2023, in the Lamb County Ag and Community Center. Special awards for “Business of the Year”, “Man of the Year”, “Women of the Year” and “Family of the Year”.
BRINGING HOME THE HARDWARE - Springlake-Earth juniors, Taytum Goodman and Emma Samaron finished fourth as a team overall with 36 points at the UIL 1A State Track Meet in Austin, Tx, this past weekend. Goodman brought home three gold medals and three state records in the women’s 3,200-meter run, women’s 800-meter run and the women’s 1,600-meter run, while Samaron placed third in the women’s 300-meter hurdles. HPWD is looking for more ag producers to participate in its Irrigation Assessment Program (IAP). Since 2013, local producers have been cooperating and volunteering to have their center pivots or drip irrigation systems evaluated by HPWD Field Technicians.
