State Sales Tax Revenue Totaled $3.8 Billion in May

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar today said state sales tax revenue totaled $3.84 billion in May, 4.1 percent more than in May 2022. The majority of May sales tax revenue is based on sales made in April and remitted to the agency in May.

Senior Citizens Center is open again for meals every Wednesday

The Lamb County Senior Citizens’ Center has re-opened for noon lunches on Wednesday’s, at 211 Phelps Avenue in downtown Littlefield. Those attending are invited to take food in covered dishes, to share with others, or by a donation of $6 to the center. Doors to the center will open at 10 a.m.

Lamb County Senior Citizens Center available to rent

Lamb County Senior Citizens’ Center opened its doors at 211 Phelps Avenue on April 3, 1981, and an open house was held the afternoon of May 3, 1981. Currently, on Wednesdays at noon, pot-luck meals are served, with members taking their favorite dish to share, or by paying a $6 lunch fee.
