Olton Junior Livestock Show Results

The 2024 Olton Livestock Show was held on January 18th, 19th and 20th in Olton, with the sale taking place on Saturday. 16 Lambs, 9 Goats, 55 Barrows, 13 Steers and 15 Heifers were shown. Claire Senter of Olton 4-H won both Grand Champion Goat and Reserve Grand Champion Goat.

Annual Cake Auction to be held on March 8

Littlefield High School Student Council Annual Cake Auction is Friday, March 8th in the Wildcat Gym. Varsity Football players will bring decorated cakes to be auctioned off to the student body and community.

Burn Ban in place until March 8

Due to the possibility of high winds and continued dry conditions, I, Lamb County Judge James DeLoach, have reinstated a burn ban for all ourdoor buring in Lamb County. This will be considered by the Commissioners Court on Dec. 27th.

Shelby’s Bridge in Sudan, Texas is celebrating their seventh anniversary during the month of February 2024. To date they have worked with 290 people and 20 of them are currently employed in Lubbock, Texas. They will be celebrating their 7 year anniversary the entire month of February.

Commissioners to meet Monday

A meeting of the Lamb County Commissioners’ Court will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, 2022, in the Lamb County Courthouse, where an 11–item agenda will be considered for appropriate action. After the Call to order, the public may request to make a public comment on any of the agenda items.
