    The city of Earth, Texas hosted their Annual Earth Ranch Rodeo on Friday, September 20, 2024 and the Earth Ranch Youth Rodeo the morning of September 21, 2024, followed by the second round of adult events held that evening. The Earth, Texas Rodeo is sanctioned by the Working Ranch Cowboys Association. The WRCA 2024 schedule began in March in Wickenburg, AZ and will end in Amarillo, Texas with the World Championship Ranch Rodeo which will be held November 14-17, 2024.

    In March of 1994, a group of people from across the western United States created the Working Ranch Cowboys Association. WRCA produces the World Championship Ranch Rodeo to showcase the skills of the working ranch cowboy and to raise funds for the WRCA Foundation, which provides financial assistance to working ranch cowboys and their family members. The Association maintains a Crisis Assistance Fund to provide financial and other assistance during significant hardships as well as a Scholarship Fund which provides financial assistance for continuing education in a collegiate, trade or vocational program.

    Rex Fennell reported that the Earth Ranch Rodeo hosted 28 teams -14 teams competed each night of the two day event. They hosted 13 teams from the Youth Division WRCA on Saturday, September 21, 2024. States represented during the Earth WRCA Rodeo this year included Texas, New Mexico, Kansas, Colorado, Montana, and Oklahoma.
