The Veterans Memorial Commettee will be holding a Veterans Memorial Day Observance Sunday, Nov. 6, 2022 at 3 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial.
The service will consist of a brief history of the memorial and there will be music for each branch of the military. The speaker for the service this year is Mike Wood, Senior Minister at the Baptist Church in Sudan.
The Littlefield Volunteer Fire Department will be presenting the colors. The Lamb County 4-H Club will be raising the new flags, facilitating seating and providing a reception after the service.
Lunch will be served from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m., or until food runs out, in the Fellowship Hall at the First United Methodist Church. They will be serving barbecue and the 4-H Club will be providing desserts. Veterans will eat for free and their families are encouraged to eat and attend the service.
Every one is encouraged to bring chairs and a blanket. The Veterans Memorial will be requesting donations.
