Mrs. Tonya Ritchie is seeking a third term as the County Clerk for Lamb County, and considers it an honor to work for “ such an amazing County, full of amazing people.”

Tonya is dedicated to the position and willing to go in early, stay late and work weekends as needed.

Mrs. Ritchie stated that since taking office in 2015, customer service has been the number-one priority.

New software for the recording of deeds has been put in place, to enable the office to provide the original deeds, back to the filer at the time of filing. State of the art new election equipment is being used with faster and more accurate results.

Voting precincts are color coded and organized for successful delivery, set up, and tear down of polling locations.

Deputy clerks are continually being cross trained on every duty. Two deputy clerks are bilingual and graciously translate for other County offices. Deputy clerks, Marisol Mosley has served 4.5 years, Eva Garcia has almost 4 years and Kandy Scales has 3 years of experience. The deputy clerks all work together to quickly and efficiently help customers.

Tonya and the deputies have all completed Cybersecurity Training with Secretary of State and Texas Association of Counties. As County Clerk, Tonya has completed the required Continuing Education hours required by the state of Texas.

Documents are proofed by two clerks for accuracy. Basement records are now stored on rolling shelving. Commissioners’ court minutes are prepared the same day court is adjourned, and are available online at the Lamb County website.

Tonya has been a resident of Lamb County most of her life. She was born in Littlefield, to Buddy and Joyce Roberson. She graduated from Amherst High School and Angelo State University. Tonya has two brothers, Guyle Roberson, manager of the Texas Producers Co-Op Gins and Randy Roberson, owner-operator of Roberson Farms in Lamb County.

Tonya and her husband, Mike, reside in Springlake, and are members of the First Baptist Church in Springlake. Mike is retired from the education system and is currently engaged in custom haybailing and hauling. Mike also serves on the Springlake City Council. They have two daughters; Tanoah, a registered nurse at Shannon Hospital in San Angelo, and Ariel Ritchie Welch, owner of Hair by Ariel, and a stylist at Encore Salon in Lubbock. Tanoah is engaged to be married to DJ Dismore, in October.

Tonya is committed to the citizens of Lamb County and considers it an honor to serve them. She prays that all constituents are blessed as they come in and go out of the Lamb County Clerk’s office.

Tonya appreciates your continued support and your vote in the March 1st Primary Election, with early voting starting Monday, Feb. 14, 2022.
