Sudan StuCo raises over $3,000 for Women’s Health Initiative of the YWCA in Lubbock

    The Sudan High School Student Council raised over $3,000 for the Women’s Health Initiative of the YWCA in Lubbock.

    They did this for their annual Pink Out game.

    Last year, they raised over $7,000 for two of our own hometown warriors. The entire StuCo sold pink power chain links to line the halls of elementary and high school and cover the gym for the pink out pep rally. They sold pink spirit items as well.

    The senior class sold by far the most chains and spirit items totaling over $1,200. At halftime, the StuCo officers presented our check to Anneval Garcia of the YWCA.

    “I’m proud of this group of officers and every member of StuCo,” the StuCo sponsor said. “I am even more proud of our entire community for coming together for this cause.”
