Sudan man injured, woman dies in crash

Texas Department of Public Safety has released a report that a Sudan man, Bryan Keith Roye, 47, and his passenger from Wolfforth were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 6:34 p.m. Friday, July 23, 2021, 9.2 miles North of Crosbyton in Crosby County.

Also at that location, a 27-year-old Estrella Kristyanna Rivera, 27, of Crosbyton, was driving a 2012 Toyota SUV southward on FM 651, approaching the intersection of FM 651 and FM 193.

Bryan Keith Roye, 47, of Sudan was driving a 2004 Nissan CC2 pickup, towing a trailer, traveling west on FM 193 approaching the same intersection.

According to the DPS report, Roye’s Nissan disregarded a stop sign at the intersection, and collided with the driver side of the Rivera Toyota. Estrella Kristyanna Rivera, 27, of Crosbyton, died on the scene as a result if injuries sustained in the crash.

Both Bryan Keith Roye of Sudan and passenger, Blake Layne Dickson, 25, of Wolfforth, were transported to UMC in Lubbock with incapacitating injuries.

The DPS report states that the Toyota SUV driver did not have her seat belt buckled, while both men in the pickup had their seat belts buckled.
