Springlake’s Annual July 4th Celebration is Friday

Springlake’s annual July 4th Celebration will be getting underway at 5 p.m. Friday, July 4, 2025, when entries in the annual parade will be lining up in the area on the south side of the city.

The parade will start moving northward down Highway 385 at 6 p.m., and when it reaches Highway 70, it will turn westward to the city park on the west side of town.

The Springlake Volunteer Fire Department is hosting the entire event, and invites all of their friends and neighbors in Lamb County and surrounding counties, to “come out and enjoy a great time of food and fellowship.”

They would like to have a huge parade this year, and everyone interested is invited and welcome to go line-up and participate.

They would especially like to have as many fire trucks as possible, and are inviting all of the county’s fire departments to “come on over and wear your colors!”

Youth groups are invited to put together a float and put them in the Springlake parade.

There will be plaques and certificates given for the Best Float, Best Car, and Best Farm Vehicle.

After the conclusion of the parade, everyone is invited to gather in the Springlake City Park on the west end of town.

Water fun will be provided by United Pivot Techs.

Featured music this year will be by the popular Kelly Hastey Band. Kelly Hastey is a singer, song-writer, musician from Lubbock, TX. Focusing on Traditional Country and Country Gospel music, his influences are Johnny Bush, Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, Ray Price, Vince Gill etc.

All of the donated cakes and various other items will be auctioned during the awards presentation.

Tickets for the event are $10 per person, under 6 years-of-age will be free. This includes meal with free water and dessert.

The well-known “awesome” fireworks display will begin at dark.

All proceeds will go towards the purchase of firefighter personal protective equipment.
