Schools around Lamb County honored Veterans on Tues.

Various schools around Lamb County held their annual Veteran’s Day programs on Tuesday, Nov. 11th, to honor Veterans in our community.

OLTON ISD

Olton ISD held their Veteran’s Day Program at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11th, to honor and celebrate the bravery, service, and sacrifice of our Nation’s Veterans.

Following the program a complimentary brunch was provided for all Veterans and their families in the Olton High School Band Hall.

SUDAN ISD

Sudan ISD held their Veteran’s Day Program at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11th in the Sudan High School Auditorium.

Sudan Student Council asked in honor of our Nation’s heroes for people to join them as they paid tribute to the courage, dedication, and sacrifice of all the Veterans who have served our country.

LITTLEFIELD ISD

On Tuesday, November 11,2025 at 11:00am, students, faculty, and guests gathered at Wildcat Gymnasium to honor the Veterans of the Littlefield Community. The program opened with recitation of pledges to the United States and the Texas flags.

In honor of those who died in the service of their country. A presentation of TAPS was performed by LHS Band members Aryanna Ramires, and Chanel Salinas.

The program was presented by Student Council Officers: Kevin Nachak- President, Bryndle Ray-Vice President, Rhealee Golden-Secretary, and Adde Garcia-P&P.

Littlefield High School Wildcat Theater members Darius Perez, Jordan Randle, and Caleb Shea then presented a recitation honoring the veterans who served.

The featured speaker for the event was Benjamin Diaz, who served in the US Marines from 2000 to 2004.

All veterans were then recognized by Ty Carr- representing the National Honor Society, Caleb Caudillo-representing the Chess Club, Ally Daltonrepresenting Spanish Club and Wildcat Theater, Maggie McNeese-representing FFA, Matthew Rios-representing TAFEand Luke Trevino- Assistant Drum Major of the Littlefield Wildcat Band.

Bryndle Ray, then presented her winning essay for this year’s ceremony.

Coach Green then concluded the event inviting the veterans to stay for lunch courtesy of the Littlefield High School faculty and students.
