Sarah Payne and Kyndal Edwards are the recipients of the 2023 Lilburn Bales Memorial Scholarship funded by Lamb County Farm Bureau.
Sarah is a homeschool graduate and is the daughter of Robert and Christy Payne of Amherst. She plans to attend South Plains College and study in the culinary arts field.
Kyndal is the daughter of Jeff and Jennifer Edwards of Amherst and graduated from Sudan High School. She will attend Texas Tech University and major in animal science.
These annual scholarships are open to any student who lives in Lamb County or attends a school within the county and whose parents (or legal guardians) have been Farm Bureau members in Lamb County for at least two years prior to their graduation date. Congratulations to these two students on their outstanding high school careers and best wishes for continued success in the future!
