Rejoice always...

“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

I want to challenge you today to give thanks, no matter what is going on, or in other words, in all circumstances!

Folks, I got to admit, that there is so much craziness going on,that sometimes I get so caught up with the junk, that I literally feel I’m going to be swept away.

I mean, the numbers of COVID cases in our area and state have risen so much here lately, that it makes me wonder if we are all going to die! When looking at how polarized our nation is over political positions, I wonder if we don’t all die from COVID, are we going to just have a civil war?

Anytime I start feeling that way, or allowing my mind to entertain these crazy thoughts, I thank God that I can go to His word to get instruction and sound teaching to see me through. That is why today I challenge you with the word of God.

Today I want you to Rejoice, not in the things that you see are terrible, but in the One who has never lost control!

I recently went through my own quarantine, because I tested positive for COVID, and at first I had this sort of dread about what might be in front of me, and then I was reminded to rejoice, because whatever I had in front of me, I wasn’t going through it alone.

Not only was God with me, but He has promised that He would never leave me nor forsake me! So I

It gave me lots of time to pray and just share my heart with God. The more I did, the more thankful I became. Not because all of the mess went away, but simply because I was reminded that there has never been a mess that He our God, was not Lord over.

To rejoice and to pray and to give thanks Is God’s will for us, because it puts us in the proper position of life. That position is that we are not God, we need God, and we have faith that our God is more than capable to handle any and every situation that presents itself, even if it seems life

How do I know this? Well, you simply look back at the Cross and see if Jesus can overcome an execution and three days later be raised back to life, then our God can handle any of this mess we see in our world!

This is a season of Thanksgiving, let us live with thankful hearts, no matter what circumstances we face!

From my family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving! Sit around the table or the living room every day this month and talk about what you are thankful for, and see just how faithful our God is!!
