RSVP before May 21 to receive a free rainwater barrel
The Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service Castro County is hosting a rainwater harvesting program at the Expo Center in Dimmitt, Texas.
The program begins at 5:30 p.m. and will wrap up around 7 p.m. There is a $10 fee to attend and vendors will be on site to purchase garden and landscape items.
Business and vendor booths are available for $10 with a donation of a door prize or $20 without a door prize donation.

Dr. Nathan Howell- WTAMU Associate Professor will discuss basic components of a Rainwater Harvesting barrel, how to size and cost them according to the rainfall and water demand you expect in a home or business. Quality of collected rainwater and uses that this quality enables. Local flooding and mosquito control policies.
