Phyllis Cutshall will be retiring at the end of 2020, after a distinguished career of 55 years for Lamb County Farm Bureau.
Over her Farm Bureau career in Lamb County, Cutshall has been honored by the Littlefield Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture as “Secretary of the Year”, and has also garnered recognition at the state level of the organization, having been named “Texas Farm Bureau Secretary of the Year.”
Most recently, Cutshall was recognized for her many years of service and was interviewed by Texas Farm Bureau Field Editor, Jennifer Dorsett. In that article, Cutshall states that she began her career in 1964 and has worked with several managers and other office personnel over those many years. “It’s been the experience of a lifetime,” she says.
Farmers, ranchers, county board members, area residents and customers have come and gone throughout the years, but Cutshall said each member is special. “I know all the farmers around, and I’ve met a lot of good people here. What makes this organization great is we’re so interested in the people. All of our employees really try to go above and beyond and help our members.”
Being a part of Farm Bureau has given her a great sense of pride. “I truly do love the organization because it’s such an upbeat, honest organization. We genuinely try to help others through our work.”
A key to Cutshall’s exemplary service to the Farm Bureau members has been her humility and her focus on the members’ needs. Cutshall stated in the interview, that she is grateful for all her years of service at the local Farm Bureau office.
Lamb County and Texas Farm Bureau is grateful for Phyllis! She has been a faithful and valued employee — friendly, trustworthy, and dependable. Her smiling face and friendly hello will be missed! Thank you for your years of dedicated service, and best wishes on your retirement, Phyllis!
