PASTOR’S CORNER

A Season of Grateful Hearts

Greetings dear Friends, As November unfolds and the air grows crisp, we’re reminded that life, like the seasons, is always shifting. Autumn’s beauty gently fades, making room for quiet reflection before the year’s close. This is a sacred time — a season that invites us to pause, breathe deeply, and give thanks. The Apostle Paul encourages us in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, “In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

Dear friends, Gratitude is more than a response to good times — it’s a posture of the heart that recognizes God’s faithfulness through all times. As a community, let’s take a moment to reflect: What has God done in your life this year?

Where have you seen His hand at work — in your family, your friendships, your health, or even in the quiet ways He’s carried you through difficulty?

There is always something to be grateful for. Even in the midst of challenges, God’s presence remains our anchor. His blessings are often found in the simple moments — a sunrise, a shared meal, a word of encouragement, or the peace that passes understanding.

The psalmist declares, “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever” (Psalm 107:1).

As we give thanks for God’s goodness, let’s also take up the challenge to be that goodness in someone else’s life. Look for ways to bless others — a phone call to someone lonely, a warm meal for a neighbor, a kind note to lift a weary heart. When we live out gratitude, we reflect the heart of Christ to a world that deeply needs hope. Let this season of thankfulness not just fill our tables, but overflow from our hearts.

Let’s pray together- Heavenly Father, Thank You for the gift of this season and for all the ways You bless us — seen and unseen. Help us to pause and remember Your goodness. Stir within us hearts that are truly grateful. Teach us to recognize Your hand in every part of our lives and to give You praise in all circumstances.

As we give thanks, Lord, inspire us to be instruments of Your love — to reach out, to serve, and to bring light to those who need encouragement.

May our gratitude be more than words; may it be the way we live each day.”In Jesus’ name, Amen.

With Love, Your brother in Christ Jesus, Pastor Billy Montes
