The Littlefield Independent School District’s Board of Trustees met in Special Session on Monday evening in the Board Room of the Administration Building.
The meeting was called to order and under Texas Government Code 551.074, the Board went into executive session to interview the superintendent candidates at 7 pm.
The Board returned out of executive session at 9:38 p.m.
Item two on the agenda was personnel matters. Under certified personnel, the Board interviewed superintendent candidates and considered naming a lone finalist for the superintendent position.
The motion was made by Gary Birkelbach and seconded by Johnny Castillo to name Mitch McNeese as lone finalist for the Littlefield ISD Superintendent Position. The vote passed with seven voting for, and 0 against and none abstaining. The motion carried unanimously.
With there being no further business to discuss, Board President Pat Demel declared the meeting adjourned at 9:40 p.m.
