Three Lamb County communities will be holding special Memorial Day Services Monday morning, May 30, 2022.
Some of the Memorial Committees will be placing flags on each veteran’s grave Saturday, May 28; while others will be placng them earlier Memorial Day Monday morning.
The day will begin at 8 a.m. at the Olton Cemetery.
The second service is usually scheduled to begin at about 9 a.m. at the Springlake Cemetery (the Leader-News has not received information about their ceremony.)
At 10 a.m. the Earth Cemetery Asociation will be hosting a Memorial Day Service at the Earh Cemetery, north of the City Earh.
They plan to plaec the flags on each Veteran’s grave Memoial Day morning.
For that service Jackie Jestes, pastor of First Baptist Church of Earth, will deliver the Memorial message.
The Honor Guard from Canon Air Force Base at Lubbock will blow TAPS in honor of the colors.
