Martin Duran leads Bowl pick-em contest with one game left

The Bowl Blowout Challenge is winding down at the Lamb County Leader-News, with all of the Bowl games in the books, all that is left is the National Championship Game to be played on January 20th.

In the College Football Playoff Semi-Finals, the Notre Dame fighting Irish used a second half rally to take down Penn State, 27-24, at the Orange Bowl, and Ohio State held off a late come-back attempt from Texas, 28-24, to punch their tickets to the National Title game.

In the final three Bowl games, Texas State took down North Texas, 30-28 at the First Responder Bowl on January 3rd, while Minnesota defeated Virginia Tech, 24-10, at the Duke’s Mayo Bowl. On January 4th, Buffalo took down Liberty, 26-7, at the Bahamas Bowl.

The Bowl Blowout Challenge this year had 17 contestants.

Martin Duran takes over the top spot with 78 points, with Tim Walker in second place with 69 points, and JC Orozco is close behind with 66 points. Maria Pinon has 58 points, while Larry Ashley has 55 points and Mark Grace is next with 50 points. Rocky Bowman, Richard Orozco and Micky Orozco are tied with 48 points, while Stetson Sedberry, Johnny Rosemond and Joe Lopez are tied with 46 points, and Lance Patridge has 45 points.

John Hernandez has 44 points, while Amanda Martin has 43 points, Bill Albus has 42 points and Patricia Lopez has 31 points.
