According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, on June 30, 2022, at 11:36 p.m. a fatal one vehicle wreck took place on County Road 95, 2.5 miles east of Plainview.
The rider, Jerry Alan Cox, 69, of Plainview, Tx, was driving a red 2004 Honda Foreman ES fourwheeler eastbound on County Road 95. the vehicle went into a side skit eastward on CR 95. The vehicle then rolled over, ejecting the rider.
Mr. Cox was pronounced dead on scene as a result of the injuries he sustained during the crash. He was not wearing a helmet.
