Man booked in Lubbock County after hitting a structure and running from law enforcement

Texas Department of Public Safety gave an update on the crash turned pursuit this morning in Lamb County that ended in Lubbock County.

A Truck Tractor Semi-Trailer had collided with a house off US 84 just outside the east city limits of Littlefield.

No one was home at the time of the crash. The crash was called in at approximately 7 a.m. this morning [ Tuesday]. Troopers responded to the crash, but the TTST had already left the scene. Troopers were able to locate the TTST just inside Hockley County on US 84 and attempted to stop the TTST.

A pursuit had ensued when the TTST refused to stop for the Troopers. The TTST eventually had its tires spiked by DPS Troopers to bring the units to a stop at US 84 and FM 2378 in Lubbock County.

The driver, Misgna Teweldemedhin, 42-year-old male from Columbia, Maryland, was taken into custody by Troopers and booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center for the following charges: Duty on striking fixture/Landscape and Evad- ing arrest/detention w/vehicle.
