Lupe Marquez receives Administrative Professional of the Year Award

Rotary Club’s Secretary, Dezi Vargas, introduced the 2022 Administrative Professional of the Year recipient.

She is someone who has always stood strong in her values and had a servant’s heart.

She married her high school sweetheart, Danny, and they eloped on the first day of their senior year in High School. This many years later, they can smile about it, knowing that through it all, they are stronger together.

Together, they raised three children, Kristina, Alex, and “Little Danny.” They also have eight grandchildren, and they are longtime members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

It is with this same dedication that she has served the members of Lamb County Electric Cooperative. In her 23-year stint with coop, she has served in several capacities, where she currently serves as the Cooperative’s Administrative Coordinator. It’s common to find her organizing corporate events where she does so with extreme passion and pride.

She makes it her mission to help others, focusing on the youth in the community. You might find her helping the Littlefield Marchin’ Cats Band with their fundraisers, or buying young ladies’ prom dresses in circumstances where they may not have one otherwise.

Our recipient is the recent past President of the Littlefield Chamber of Commerce. It was there where countless volunteer hours added up in organizing events, hosting Celebrate Littlefield, an annual banquet and more. The organization reached new heights under her administration.

She recently joined the Rotary Club of Littlefield and has already proven her desire to carry out the mission of Rotary, “Service Above Self.”

When things get tough, fingers point to her to get the job done in both her professional work and personal life. Her radiant smile and stylish sense of fashion can light up any room.

The Rotary Club of Littlefield is honored to announce Lupe Marquez as the “2022 Administrative Professional of the Year!”
