Local Dairyman joins Texas Beef Council Board

John Van de Pol of Amherst has been elected to serve on the Texas Beef Council (TBC) Board of Directors for fiscal year 2025. The TBC Board consists of twenty directors nominated by producer organizations or industry segments from across the state, who oversee the budget and marketing plans for Beef Checkoff programs.“We extend a warm welcome to John as he joins our board of directors,” said Molly McAdams, executive vice president of Texas Beef Council. “Our volunteer directors represent Texas beef and dairy producers, and work hard to ensure beef demand remains in its strongest state.”

Van de Pol is a third-generation dairyman who has expanded the operation to include dairy farming, beef cattle and row crops.He will represent dairy producers on the TBC Board and currently serves in various leadership roles with the Texas Association of Dairymen as chairman, Select Milk Producers, Texas Farm Bureau, Texas Tech University’s Davis College Advisory Board and the Lamb County Appraisal District Advisory Board.
